History

In May of 2008, a group of students from NCSU, Duke, and UNC set out on a mission to create an initiative with global impact. With a firm belief that achievements are only limited by aspirations, R.E.A.C.H. was conceived. R.E.A.C.H. began working alongside China Tomorrow Education Foundation towards building new educational facilities in China.

In our first two years, R.E.A.C.H. was able to raise more than $27,000 and build its first school, The R.E.A.C.H. DaPing Elementary School (pictured),  in Guangxi, China. In August of 2010, R.E.A.C.H. became a not-for-profit organization with the hopes of creating more opportunities for the community to become engaged in R.E.A.C.H.’s mission.
